Scandal Of Grace is a digital collage that explores Jesus eating with sinners. It depicts an Ethiopian icon of Jesus seated at the Last Supper, surrounded by present day “sinners” - controversial celebrities, politicians, refugees, and porn stars. This piece speaks to the social and political unrest our country felt during 2020, and prompts the viewer to think about Christ’s love for the “sinners” on the opposing side. Although I never want to offend anyone, I realized that bringing things into the light will inevitably cause some offense.
